The double room was spacious with very clean beds. Everything was fine, the staff were attentive. Obviously we really enjoyed the brilliant location on sea. Moreover, it's just next door to the restaurant, stunning gardens and the forest, village and coast.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The beds were comfortable including pillows!Bar and restaurant service friendly.Good location for visiting many scenic places nearby.Fresh grilled mackerel for dinner was very tasty.
No signage on the road from Lymington.South Lawns hotel 100yards on the left would be helpful.Big pit in gravel at entrance to drive.Room service menu could be clearer about tray charge and when available.

My husband was taken ill and needed an ambulance, the night duty staff was excellent and cannot be faulted.Until that moment we had had a lovely time.
The food was beautifully cooked and presented but portions were very small .for an adult

Our ground floor king room was spacious and had plenty of storage. The hotel is in a great spot to explore the nearby east coast and new forest. The staff were super friendly.

Comfortable room & peaceful countryside setting. We were the youngest ones there!!
Could have had more teabags, sugar, milk etc in the room & a bar menu wasn't available.

Lovely setting, very quiet surroundings, no traffic noise, close to the beach (driving) where there was plenty of parking.
Bathroom needed refurbishing, kept very clean but cracked hand basin, dripping tap over the bath, generally in need of updating but this did not spoil our stay and is not a complaint merely an observation.

Quiet relaxing location. Very clean and comfortable.
Bar was closed when we returned to the hotel at 10.35 (advertised closing time 11.00) and would have liked a drink.

South Lawn Hotel was a friendly, clean place with excellent facilites for us as a young family of four. The cot and 3rd bed were all made up for us on arrival, allowing us to unpack and meet with family immediately. The rooms facilities were what we would expect, including towels provided for the children with out having to ask. The Breakfast selection catered for all tastes. A highchair and extra chair was provided instantly with no fuss. We would have stayed an extra night if we could have!
The only down side was the temperature in the bedroom. It was a hot week anyway but perhaps air con or fans could be provided in the event of hot weather.

Comfortable bedrooms with good facilities. Pleasant gardens. Dated decor, but to the extent that it may almost be described as pleasantly retro.
Limited dinner menu, and one that might have been presented 30 to 40 years ago. The hotel might benefit from having a buffet style breakfast to limit delays at peak times.
